Dr. Galia Rahav, the head of the Infectious Disease Unit and Laboratories at the Sheba, spoke with the New York Times on new research from Israel’s vaccination campaign. She notes that the main takeaway was that it was “very critical” to vaccinate the nearly half a million Israelis over 50 who have not been inoculated “as quickly as possible.” Israel’s vaccination program is ongoing, with 40% of the larger population who received the first dose and over 25% receiving the second dose.
