The Western region of American Friends of Sheba Medical Center is based in Los Angeles, California and proudly supports the largest and most comprehensive medical center in Israel and the entire Middle East.
We are dedicated to raising awareness and philanthropic support for Sheba Medical Center’s compassionate care, cutting-edge research and comprehensive educational training.

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, over 200 people gathered at the beautiful Stephen Wise Temple for an inspiring evening. The event began on the outdoor patio with delicious hors d’oeuvres, wine, and Israel-themed signature cocktails. Guests enjoyed live guitar music, engaging conversation, and a strong sense of community, enhanced by stunning multimedia portraits of hostages, donated by Stephanie Cobos and Jessica Levaton, and beautiful Israel-themed décor.
We then moved to the sanctuary for heartfelt speeches from our esteemed board members and a panel discussion. Attendees were deeply moved by stories from a Sheba doctor who served on the frontlines and four soldiers injured in Gaza and rehabilitated at Sheba.
Supporting Sheba means supporting Israel and humanity. Thanks to our generous guests, we have raised $291,000 to date, which will help Sheba save lives and improve the quality of life for those they treat.

On Sunday, April 23, 2023, over 200 people gathered in the garden of a beautiful home in Bel Air Crest, for American Friends of Sheba Medical Center Cocktails in the Garden honoring Women of Achievement, Chara Schreyer Z”L and Dr. Yael Peled, Medical Director of the Heart Transplantation Unit at Sheba.
Thanks to the generosity of our guests, we raised over $350,000 to secure a device that will keep a donor heart beating before transplantation while doctors’ asses if the heart is a good match. Sheba Medical Center will then be able to save more hearts and more lives.
